Peju Winery’s journey began in 1981 when Tony Peju envisioned an estate winery, leading to the purchase of a 30-acre parcel in Rutherford in 1983 and the release of their first wine, a 1983 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, in 1985. Over the years, the family transformed a garage into a winery, constructed an iconic tasting room in 1991, and expanded their vineyards with the acquisition of Persephone Vineyard in 1996. They introduced innovative blends, prioritized sustainability, and achieved Napa Green certification. Today, Peju Winery proudly celebrates 40 years of family ownership, continuing Tony Peju's legacy through the leadership of his daughters, Lisa and Ariana, as they carry forward a vision of quality winemaking and a commitment to their community.
